Neurociencia Cognitiva y Salud Mental
Aims of the research team
In our team we aim to reach a better understanding of how mental health disorders such as depression or social anxiety work, so that in the long term this knowledge leads to better treatments. In particular, we seek to understand how these disorders work in terms of decision-making and brain function. To this end, we work developing psychological experiments and use techniques such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and electroencephalography (EEG), which allow exploration of brain function in humans.
